What We Did

Barbour gave us a really open brief for this mini campaign, which was used across their website and on their blog to promote their Storm Force collection. Photographer Evie Johhnstone and I used our local knowledge of the Cornish coast and tides to select a quiet stretch of coves and rocky foreshore where we knew we could shoot product against a rugged backdrop that would showcase Barbour’s products in the environment that they’re designed for.

This was a single day shoot, so we travelled light and moved fast. We utilised empty beaches accessible only at low tide to give a sense of adventure and isolation. Barbour’s boots are made for tough terrain, and that’s exactly what we were dealing with, clambering across the low tide rocks to get to secret coves.
